Glycoproteins
	Calreticulin is a major molecular chaperone participating in glycoprotein folding. Improved folding of glycoproteins can be achieved using our ProFold™-ER1 vector. ProFold™-ER1 provides for a high level of expression for both the target glycoprotein and human calreticulin using the same recombinant baculovirus genome. It can be combined with any of our plasmid transfer vectors. Since most of the glycoproteins are either secreted or transmembrane proteins, you can find detailed recommendations in Secreted proteins or Transmembrane proteins. A smaller group of glycoproteins are resident proteins of the endoplasmic reticulum. Recommendations for expression of secreted proteins are largely applicable to the latter group.
