Baculovirus DNA
	AB Vector offers several baculovirus DNAs as shown in the table below. All baculovirus DNAs are ready for use in transfections without further manipulation. ProEasy™ baculovirus DNA is recommended for most experiments. It provides for unparalleled simplicity of operation and reliable high levels of recombinant protein expression with the majority of constructs. It can be combined with any AB Vector’s plasmid DNA containing a gene of interest. Our most commonly used plasmids are pAB-GST™, pVL1393, and pAB-bee. AB Vector also offers specialized baculovirus DNAs that can facilitate expression of "difficult to express" proteins. Of these, the most commonly used are ProFold™-ER1 which is recommended for the expression of difficult glycoproteins, and ProFold™-C1 which is recommended for expression of difficult cytoplasmic proteins. Depending on the vector, the expressed protein can be actively folded by endoplasmic reticulum or cytoplasmic molecular chaperones. Several vectors also provide for the expression of a GFP reporter which is useful for monitoring the progress of virus propagation.
